Raw Tuesday take-aways: menu for 14 June

I am in need of green energy solutions. Help! For the past 2 days, my electricity has been off more often than not. I’d love to get solar panels, but I’m not the property owner so I’m not sure that’s an option. Any ideas? Small, eco-friendly options? If I could somehow hook the dehydrator and food processor up to a stationary bike or treadmill, that would be ideal– I could keep warm and fit while powering my appliances.

In the mean time, assuming the powers that be don’t cut my power, again, here’s next week’s menu. It’s a hearty dish, especially if you enjoy it at room temperature or slightly warmed. And the dessert is just too delicious– one of my new favourites.

Main course: shepherd’s pie- a delicious mix of marinated veggies topped with parsnip “mashed potatoes” R60

Dessert: crepe - or pancakes for some people. Apple pancake filled with fresh figs and cinnamon-spiced cashew cream. R20
