Part two of my “fun with fennel” experiments led to the creation of this delicious juice:
Fennel, apple, ginger and a handful of spinach. Yum! The slight spiciness of the fennel is a beautiful addition to the tried and true apple and ginger combination. I was going to add carrot as well, but decided to keep things simple.
You might be able to see the top of my manual juicer peeking over the top of the juice glass in the photo. It’s the Z-star manual juicer. I cannot recommend it highly enough– no electricity required, and it gets so much more juice out of each fruit/vegetable compared to a centrifugal juicer. This juicer can do everything– fruits, veggies, wheatgrass. Plus you get a bit of an arm workout while using it, which makes you feel very deserving of your juice. If you’re not ready to sink a fortune into a big, fancy juicer but you want a good piece of equipment that won’t waste half of the food you put into it, this is the juicer for you.
