This week’s meal is a current favourite of mine. I generally don’t miss cheese or even bread, but there’s something incredibly satisfying about raw cheese sandwiches. Go figure.
Main course: “Cheese” sandwich: Herbed cashew cheese, and veggies on dehydrated brown bread (gluten free, of course), served with a side of barbecue kale chips. R60
Dessert: Plum crisp: a simple nut and date crust with a layer of cashew cream and delicious fresh plums on top. R20

Pick-up is on Tuesday, 15 February from one of four locations:
-any time after 11:00 at Fruits and Roots, Bryanston;
-any time after 12:00 at Greenlands, Parkhurst;
-any time after 12:30 at Fresh Earth, Emmarentia;
-from 13:00-15:00 in Observatory.
